  • Science cannot be truly done without being shared, and writing cannot be shared fully without a good editor. Learn how to manage our publications and edit scientific writing as an integral part of WISRD.

  • Learn the behind-the-scenes methods of running a research lab, while helping WISRD run smoothly. Duties include but are not limited to marine tank cleaning and maintenance, organization of lab materials, and creation and upkeep of equipment inventory. Duties will evolve as projects ramp up.

  • Scientific illustration is a specific subset of art that requires precision and accuracy but can be incredibly rewarding and is often the bridge between confusion and understanding in specific situations. In this position, learn how to create scientifically accurate illustrations, in the service of creating content for WISRD that illustrates and demystifies specific aspects of the projects. This would also include publication of materials in the Inquirer and potentially academic research journals, as well as inclusion in the Fall and Spring Poster Sessions.

  • Science cannot exist without sharing and collaboration of progress and results in projects, and the 21st century science institute requires a dedicated social media representative. In this position you will safety and legally collect information, pictures, videos, other content from WISRD members and appropriately share on social media while abiding by Wildwood privacy and community standards.
